The Balanced Animal canine
services include sports massage, relaxation
massage, TTouch®, acupressure,
dog training and power walking.
Before beginning to work with a
dog for the first time, Kellee conducts a
Pre-Session Assessment, analyzing the dog’s
muscle tone for strength, flexibility and
vitality. This assessment is an important first
step in putting together a program for your dog
and in recommending what you can do on your own
to help your dog stay healthy and in balance.
Kellee provides a Session Summary that details
her recommendations.

Sports Massage
Sports massage is for dogs that are active in
play, agility, obedience, confirmation, flyball,
hunting, racing and any other strenuous
activities. We address the major muscle groups
from head to tail with a little more focus on
problem or possible problems areas. For
example, agility dogs tend to show stress in
their shoulders from the landings. Dogs showing
in confirmation may have stiffness on one side
of their body from moving in one direction while
showing. A session lasts between 45-60 minutes.
Relaxation Massage
Relaxation massage is for older
dogs that are no longer active, invigorating
them by stimulating blood flow and fluids.
Relaxation massage can help dogs that suffer
from hip dysplasia, stiffness and lethargy. A
session lasts between 25-35 minutes and includes
lightly massaging the head, muzzle, gums, neck,
back, front and back legs and tail.
TTouch®
TTouch is a method of animal bodywork that can
help dogs with both behavior and physical
problems such as hyperactivity, nervousness,
aggression, hip dysphasia and arthritis. TTouch
helps bring awareness to dogs through light
touch and leading exercises. In addition, it
activates the nervous system, which can lead to
changes in the animal’s physical, emotional and
mental patterns. Linda Tellington-Jones and her
team of instructors have been teaching this
method of animal bodywork around the world since
1975. This session lasts between 45-60 minutes
and includes gentle touches, leading exercises
and groundwork.
Acupressure
Acupressure uses fingers instead of needles to
access energy pathways throughout the body.
These pathways include points that help
influence the energy flow throughout the body.
For example, holding specific points around the
hips and hind legs of a dog can help with hip
dysphasia. Acupressure can help both physical
and behavioral issues, relieve pain and
stiffness, build a dog’s immune system and
enhance mental and emotional clarity and focus.
This session lasts between 45-60 minutes.
